Capitalization
Learn when and when not to capitalize.
Use sentence-style capitalization for all content including titles and subtitles. Capitalize the first letter of the first word and use lowercase thereafter.
Guidelines:
- Capitalize the first word of a sentence, heading, title, UI label, or standalone phrase.
- Capitalize proper nouns. Use lowercase for everything else.
- Always capitalize the first word of a new sentence. Rewrite sentences that start with a word that is always lowercase.
- Don't use all uppercase for emphasis.
- Don't use all lowercase or all uppercase as a design choice.
- When words are joined by a slash, if the word before the slash is capitalized, capitalize the word after the slash. Examples: "Country/Region", "Turn on the On/Off toggle".

Exceptions
Proper nouns, including brand, product, and service names, are always capitalized. If a title or heading includes a colon, capitalize the first word after it.
